PROJECT REFERENCE
MSSQL Deadlock Analyzer
.NET application for analysing SQL Server deadlocks, combining visual representations with detailed technical data to explain blocking relationships between transactions.
What problem does it solve?
Manually interpreting deadlock XML and Extended Events data can be time-consuming. The goal is to identify participating sessions, resources, locks and victim processes more quickly and present the event in an understandable visual form.
Key features
- Deadlock XML / event data processing
- Identification of participating processes and resources
- Visual deadlock graph
- Victim and blocker relationship highlighting
- Detailed event and diagnostic information

Technology stack
| Frontend | .NET desktop UI with visual graph rendering |
|---|---|
| Application layer | C# / .NET |
| Data processing | XML parsing and event model |
| Data source | SQL Server deadlock XML / Extended Events |
| Platform | Windows / SQL Server environment |
How it works
The application builds a process and resource model from the deadlock event, then generates the visual graph and detailed diagnostic views from that model.
Engineering focus
A key challenge is reliably handling different deadlock structures while keeping the generated visual model readable even for larger events.
